ATX’s MAXNET II, Platinum Series product line (Patented) provides a fully integrated RF & Optical Signal Management solution. By utilizing the properties of MCX connectors & mini coaxial cable, MAXNET II offers all of the benefits of our original MAXNET line & so much more in a lot less space. MAXNET II provides users with an unlimited number of module configurations to choose from so that they can easily implement their network in any manner they desire. The optical product lineup includes 1310/1550 optical forward path transmitters, and optical receivers.
Key features include:
Ultra-dense MCX connector-based RF/optical signal management platform
Greater than 200% rack space savings over legacy management solutions
Significantly reduces network lash up complexity by using MCX connectors and miniature coaxial cable
3RU active chassis can accommodate both active & passive modules – up to 24 single-width actives or passives (narrowcast amplifiers, optical receivers) or 12 dual-width modules (optical receivers, optical transmitters)
3RU passive chassis is also available
Modules are positioned for front access to test points, controls and pad & EQ locations
Active chassis includes monitoring & control over the network (HMS compliant (SNMP v2c)) or through a web browser for all active modules in the chassis. E-mail alarm notification is also supported.
Chassis & Cable Management Options MAXNET II is offered in a compact 3RU chassis (passive and active versions available). Each chassis holds up to 24 single-width modules or 12 dual-width modules (any combination of modules is possible). The modules push and lock into the chassis so no mounting hardware is necessary. Also available are 1RU passive chassis.
Power Supplies Hot-swappable, 110, 220 VAC or -48 VDC to 24 VDC power supply modules are available. Redundancy is automatically implemented when two power supplies are engaged into the active MAXNET chassis and remote powering is accommodated. Voltage, current, temperature, and fan status parameters are easily monitored over the network (HMS compliant (SNMP v2c)) or through a web browser. E-mail alarm notification is also supported. The same power supply module is used for both the standard and single width active chassis (MP3*A/MP3BAS).

Forward Path Transmitters (FPTs) 1310nm full broadcast/narrowcast and 1550nm narrowcast transmitters with integrated, lossless, RF 8-way narrowcast combining technology optimize rack space efficiency with up to 12 transmitters in a MAXNET II active chassis.
1310nm version provides optimized RF isolation in both the narrowcast-broadcast (>40 dB) and narrowcast-narrowcast (>30 dB) inputs which eliminates network isolation concerns.
1550nm version provides DWDM transport of a limited channel load on any channel within the ITU grid.
Optical Receivers Return path optical receivers (RPRs) with integrated RF splitting technology optimize rack space efficiency with up to 12 receiver modules (24 receivers) in a MAXNET II active chassis. The three offerings include: single RPR with 8 RF outputs; dual RPR with 8 RF outputs per RPR; dual RPR with integrated RF switch and 8 RF outputs (enable optical fiber route redundancy functionality).
Voltage, current, temperature, fan status, nominal received optical power, received optical power alarm threshold, RF attenuator level, receiver mute, and RF switch status are easily monitored over the network (HMS compliant (SNMP v2c)) or through a web browser. E-mail alarm notification is also supported.

Status Monitoring & Control SNMP-based (HMS compliancy) and web-based monitor and control functions are enabled for all active modules using software developed in house at ATX's software development facility. ATX's MAXNET II products use the HMS standard SNMP MIBs, published by the SCTE http://www.scte.org/standards/. Any retail SNMP manager software or the embedded web page interface can fully control these products without any proprietary software from ATX.
