POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Manager of IT, the IT Support Analyst’s primary function will be to maintain and troubleshoot computer hardware and software in the corporate environment through first-line, hands-on support. The IT Support Analyst will also be responsible for the maintenance of systems documentation and asset inventory. As the successful candidate gains relevant experience, he/she will also assist the IT Manager with a range of server administrative functions.
The following duties outline, but do not limit, the regular position requirements:
- Respond to end-user requests for hardware and software support
- Perform hardware and software configuration and installation activities
- Develop a schedule for maintenance of laptop and desktop computers
- Assist in maintaining the corporate asset inventory
- Assist with the evaluation and implementation of new hardware and software products
- Update and revise system documentation and work procedures
- Perform all tasks in accordance with established workplace practices and procedures including ISO and safety
- Additional duties as may reasonably be required
QUALIFICATIONS
The following criteria are the minimum qualifications required for this position:
- College Diploma or Certificate in Computer Sciences or equivalent
- Basic understanding of PC and network architecture
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge and experience with Citrix Presentation Server
- Proficiency with Microsoft XP Professional and the Microsoft Office Professional suite
- Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
- Able to build rapport with users of all levels, face to face and over the telephone
- Excellent organizational, time management, analytical and follow-up skills
- Flexibility to work overtime as required
